Metrolina Regional Scholars Academy

Scholars Academy is a K-8 public charter school established by a group of parents of highly gifted children, along with experts in gifted education, who recognized the need to develop a differentiated and challenging curriculum for this subset of students. Representing only 2% of the population, highly gifted children are frequently underserved in the traditional school system, and as a result risk underachievement, isolation from peers, and social and emotional issues. Scholars Academy was built to engage these highly gifted children and give them the ability to create relationships with intellectual peers.
