Visiting Fellows Program

The NC ACCESS Visiting Fellows Program was developed to provide school leaders from charter schools not eligible to receive subgrants an opportunity to participate in the ACCESS Fellowship as a Visiting Fellow for one year. Visiting Fellows will fully participate in all components of the Fellowship year, as well as network and collaborate with other participating members of the Institute to share experiences and professional best practices. The purpose is to provide the visiting school leaders with a range of experiences to develop the critical competencies needed to work with staff, parents, board members, and the community to create a high-performance learning environment. Each year, the NC ACCESS Program will invite 10 high-performing school leaders from schools not currently eligible to apply for a subgrant.

Words can’t express how grateful I am for the opportunity to serve as a visiting NC ACCESS Fellow. The NC ACCESS Program allowed me to network with innovative educators, as well as engage in quality professional development.
